It´s only one month until we set off on our travels once again! Yes, we are “going where the weather suits our clothes“, down to the southern hemisphere from the end of November, returning back to Spain at the beginning of April 2011. We leave our home, near the beautiful village of Cómpeta in southern Spain on November 25th, and fly back to London to first of all catch a flight out to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, for a few days. Then it´s on to Sydney where we are meeting up with Simone and Tyrone, the couple we house-sat for in Auckland last Christmas, and who have now moved to Sydney. We will have chance to re-explore the city for a few days before we head up by train to the Northern Rivers district of New South Wales, which is an area we haven´t visited before. We have secured a house-sit there for almost eight weeks. We are making our way to New Zealand at the end of January 2011 for a month or so, before heading back to Sydney to complete another two week house-sit in the city. The final leg of our journey takes us back to Melbourne where we will be enjoying the delights of the Formula 1 Grand Prix before heading back to Spain via England at the beginning of April 2011. Anyway, you´ll be hearing plenty about all that over the coming months, but for now, I thought you might like to have a look at the photos of our home in a beautiful area of southern Spain, known as Andalucia. I´ve included some photos of the pool and garden as well as across the valley towards a snow-covered Monte Maroma in the Sierra Almijara mountains, along with the beautiful views we have, looking down the valley, of the Mediterranean Sea. I´ve even included a map, so you can see exactly where we are. If you look closely you will see the village of Cómpeta right in the middle of the map.
I know that lots of you are looking at our photos, as I can see by the number of page views there are when I log in, but did you know that you can leave a comment if you like? Keep it clean though … this is a family travel blog! LOL
