There are many fabulous walks around Sydney, including the “Harbour Circle Walk“, as well as the many paths along the coast, most with stunning views out to sea.

We are staying on the opposite side of the river from the Sydney Olympic Park, so it’s just a hop, skip and a jump to the riverside where there are dedicated paths for walkers and cyclists, keeping everyone safe from the busy traffic, nearby.

Why not join us, as we stroll along the Parramatta River, passing through a number of parks and reserves, under the Silverwater Bridge and on to the Rydalmere Wharf, where we usually catch the Rivercat ferry into the city.  The route continues past the University of Western Sydney, before crossing the bridge at James Ruse Drive and then heads west to the Parramatta Wharf – a distance of around 10kms.

Once we arrived at the Parramatta wharf, we only had a wait of around ten minutes before we hopped on the ferry for the ride back to Rydalmere, and the much shorter stroll home.
